Santa Catarina has just been awarded with the Best Destination in Brazil prize
by the Viagem e Turismo magazine.

The readers of this reputable magazine selected their 2007 favourites and the awards presentation took place in Rio de Janeiro on October 26.
Santa Catarina was crowned as the best tourist destination in Brazil, surpassing Bahia, champion for the last five years. In the best city category,
Florianópolis took the second place, after Rio de Janeiro. The Costão do Santinho was chosen the best beach resort hotel for the third consecutive year.
